Rangjung Yeshe Shenpen

Welcome! Rangjung Yeshe Shenpen is a volunteer-based, non-profit organisation based in Boudhanath, Nepal, that helps the poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal and other parts of the world to gain access to health care facilities, a sound education and advantageous employment opportunities.

Rangjung Yeshe Shenpen is a new social work initiative founded by Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, Chokling Rinpoche and Phakchok Rinpoche to help poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal and beyond. The programme brings together members, friends and associates of Rangjung Yeshe worldwide who want to help.

Shenpen reflects the longstanding wishes of the three lamas to serve the wider community outside the monasteries, by providing technical and financial assistance to the poor.

It is conceived as a vehicle for community service wherever Rangjung Yeshe Centres exist around the world, but the initial efforts will focus on Nepal where there is great poverty and many social challenges.

The establishment of Shenpen is therefore an opportunity to contribute to relieving suffering through a well-managed organisation that utilises the skills and resources of its members and their associates, efficiently and provides effective services.

At the heart is a spirit of volunteerism that is impartial, non-sectarian and non-political. Its ethos is based on the dharma principles of compassion, generosity, knowledge, diligence and humility in all thought and action.
