Easing and eliminating the suffering of
animals.
Shenpen wants to focus on easing and ultimately eliminating the suffering of animals. In many areas of the world animals are kept and transported under unacceptable conditions. In Nepal, animals such as buffaloes are transported from the southern part of the country to Kathmandu and other large cities. Their nose rings are tightly attached to the ceiling of crowded trucks. They often arrive in the Valley bleeding, in immense pain, and extremely traumatised. Shenpen aims to raise people’s awareness of suffering like this and improve the conditions of raising, maintaining, and transporting animals in Nepal.
