Shenpen would like to enlarge its volunteer team and, consequently, created two new positions: 1) Volunteer Writer and Editor; and 2) a English to Nepali Translator.  Please, read the job description above and feel free to contact us if you are interested. Volunteer Editor and Content Writer Needed

 

Position Overview

Shenpen is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate Content Writer and Editor Coordinator to join its volunteer team! As a Content Writer and Editor Coordinator you will be working on developing and maintaining Shenpen’s online presence through various social media channels: Facebook, WordPress (website), Newsletter, and YouTube, in coordination with the Shenpen Program Director.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

* Proofreading multiple documents to ensure that they are relevant, informative and grammatically correct;

* Actively updating and maintaining the social media channels and calendar;

* Writing/summarizing blog stories;

* Creating and brainstorming about possible content;

* Creating a plan to enhance online presence and identify opportunities for growth.

 

Skills

* Be motivated in being part of Shenpen’s team;

* Excellent editing, proofreading, and communication skills;

* An interest in nonprofit work, Nepal and CNR’s activities;

* Outgoing and creative;

* Preferably a degree in Communications, English, Journalism or other relevant fields;

* Knowledge of various social media platforms listed above, if possible;

* Access to a computer with Internet connection.

 


English to Nepali translator Needed

 

Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

* Translating from English to Nepali multiple documents (brochures, FB posts, fliers, blogs, posters);

* Actively updating and maintaining the social media channel;

* Creating and brainstorming about possible content.

Skills 

* Be motivated in being part of Shenpen’s team;

* Excellent written Nepali;

* An interest in nonprofit work, Nepal and CNR’s activities;

* Outgoing and creative;

* Access to a computer with Internet connection.
