Girls miss school every month due to menstruation because bathrooms at school are inadequate and hygiene products are scarce. Second after household work, menstruation is problematic for Nepalese girls education.
Women spend around six to seven years of their lives menstruating yet menstrual health management (MHM) is almost non-existent. Menstrual health is a topic that many women are uncomfortablediscussing in public.
Rangjung Yeshe Shenpen, in collaboration with Days for Girls, conducted a menstruation Hygiene Program in Shree Sharadha Mavi and distributed Dignity kits to 84 girls.
